Salted Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Serves: 3 dozen
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1-1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1-1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • sea salt
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. In a large bowl combine everything except the chocolate chips and sea salt, until well combined. Stir in chocolate chips.
  2. Drop tablespoon scoops of batter onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Sprinkle the top of each dough ball with a little sea salt.
  4. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges start to brown. Allow to cool on a baking rack.
