Freshening Things Up

Now that all the holiday decorations are neatly packed away, the apartment was looking a little bare, so I wanted to freshen things up a little bit.

I grabbed a few of bunches of fresh flowers at the grocery story and decided to make a couple of little arrangements to go around the candles on the coffee table.

To make the little bundles stay together, I tied them up with little clear hair elastics.

I’m not a big fan of pinkish colours, but I just love the vibrancy of these fuchsia hued daisies, especially contrasted with the green mums.

And these alstomerias are a perfect match with their delicate fuchsia stripes.

I even had enough flowers left over to fill this blue vase that I brought back from Greece last year. Each bundle of flowers was only $4, meaning I was able to get three arrangements for only $12. Cha-ching! I love how they spruce up the place and they really help to keep those winter blues at bay.
