Friends Hometown

Baby Shower

This weekend, I had the pleasure of attending the baby shower of my wonderfully adorable friend Ashley. She is such a fun, good hearted person and I know her little one will be super lucky to have such an awesome mom.

The great thing about going to baby showers is that I get to catch up with my friends from my hometown. Its incredible to see how far we have all come in the 10+ years we’ve known each other.

And of course there is also lots of great food to enjoy too.

I made my White Chocolate Coconut Cookies to add to the sweets tray. I tried making some with semi-sweet chocolate and they turned out great too!

Cute babies were present too. I finally get the whole cheek pinching thing.

There were lots of great presents for the mom-to-be as well. I can’t believe how much “stuff” babies seem to need. Where do you even begin to put it all?

I went in on a gift with a couple of friends and put together a package with a cute bumbo, book and a monkey for the jungle themed nursery.

All the gifts were so sweet and thoughtful, but the most ohhs and ahhhs came from all the ridiculously adorable baby clothes.

Everything is just so cute and tiny!

How do they make a denim jacket so small?!?!

Ashley’s little nephew was happy to help collect all the ribbons on the gifts….

…so that Sadie could make them into a giant ribbon bikini!

Ashley sure knows how to rock this look!

How great is this cake that Ashley’s sister had made for her?

The cake not only tasted fantastic (chocolate caramel!), but the sweet little details were so impressive.

A cute little bear in a bassinet on the top.

And a sweet little heart at the back.

That little heart reminded me that there was a lot of love in that room. Many of us have been friends for years and its so wonderful to still be good friends with these great ladies. We all got to share in the joy of this next exciting step in Ashley’s life…plus she knows that she was 6 very willing babysitters!
