Autumn Friday Favourites Recipe

Friday Favourites – Fall Dessert Tables (& My Top 5 Fall Dessert Recipes!)

We’re looking at a spring wedding ourselves, but after finding all these awesome fall dessert tables on Pinterest (oh Pinterest), I’m starting to wish we were doing it in the fall. Don’t they look awesome and full of yummy treats?

It made me realize how many of the recipes I’ve shared on the blog would be great for a fall dessert table for a wedding or even for a fall party. I’m thinking about doing something like this for our family’s Thanksgiving dessert table this year!

1. Pumpkin Spice Whoopie Pies with Maple Cream Cheese Filling

My sister made these awesome whoopie pies for Thanksgiving last year. They were a HUGE hit with everyone in the family. Now we just need to convince her to make them again this year 🙂

2. Sugar Babies Molasses Cookies

These are Garrett’s favourite cookie that I’ve ever made him. I still throw a box of Sugar Babies in his Christmas stocking every year with a ticket for him to redeem for a free batch at any time.

3. Pumpkin Brownies

I made these three years ago and it is still one of the most searched recipes on my blog. It is an awesome way to use up that last bit of canned pumpkin…and they taste pretty darn good too.

4. Caramel Apples

This one isn’t so much a recipe as it is an awesome idea. At my friend Kim’s wedding last October, she had caramel apples as the favour at each place setting. It’s the perfect treat to take home and they looked great on the tables.

5. Pumpkin Pie from Scratch

Pumpkin Pie is such a classic fall dessert that I just had to include it. This is the recipe that my family has used for generations and I’m sure my descendants will be making this someday. If you’ve never tried to make a pie from scratch, give it a try. It’s so worth it once you taste that first bite.

Last year I also made a great crustless pumpkin pie with a streusel topping. It has less carbs, so fewer calories, but all the awesome pumpkin pie taste.

All this talk about desserts has me itching to do some baking this weekend. If you have any great fall recipes to try, let me know!
