Happy Birthday Whiskey!

Today marks the second anniversary of the day I adopted Whiskey, and seeing as he is a rescue and I have no idea when his birthday is, I figure that this is as good a day as any to celebrate! Today he’s approximately four years old!

I just read the post I did last year about all the things we did together in the first year (including him meeting George Clooney!). I’m not gonna lie, I teared up seeing all that we’ve done. I love my little buddy so much and I can’t image not having him in my life.

I got him a week before my life got turned upside down when my boss passed away, and I honestly believe that I would not have come out of it a-okay without the help of my little pooch. I couldn’t let myself get sucked into a dark place because I had this sick little creature who needed to be fed, walked, cuddled and loved. I couldn’t ignore him or not return his phone call if I was feeling down. At the time it seemed like alot to be taking on a new dog during a hectic time, but it was the demands and the undying loyalty of Whiskey that kept me going.

And two years later he is still there for me.
