Dogs

Whiskey & Jackson

Is this not one of the cutest wiener dogs you’ve ever seen? Those floppy ears fall back over his head when he runs (hops?) around the yard. And he has that great puppy skin that is so soft and flabby that you can almost double it over him. Don’t even get me started on those big brown eyes.

My friend Lyndsay adopted Jackson earlier this summer, and this weekend was the first time that he and Whiskey could meet.
And oh what a time they had. The first 15 minutes was spent running around the living room, barking, wagging tails, jumping on furniture and people. Then we took them outside, and it was pretty much the same show, just a different venue.
Jackson’s little tail just looks like it’s been dipped in a can of black paint. Too cute. He gets the same little worry wrinkles on his forehead that The Whisk gets.

The best part about Jackson is that he has made Lyndsay and her family so happy. How could you not be in a good mood with this little fella bounding around your living room?
Sorry to all cat people out there, but nothing beats the loyalty of a dog. (I write this as I have an 11lb dog laying across my forearms…Whiskey doesn’t realize how difficult it is type when he is weighing me down…we’re working on it).
Off for our evening walk and then bedtime. Hope that you all had a really great day! (And if you didn’t, just scroll up to the top and see that first picture of Jackson and you’ll feel better. Just trust me – no one is immune to puppy dog eyes.)
