Friends Toronto

Saturday Soccer

Despite Holland losing the World Cup yesterday (turns out that Paul the Oracle Octopus was right), I had a great soccer-filled weekend.

On Saturday I headed out with friends to catch the Toronto FC vs Colorado Rapids game at BMO field, here in Toronto.

The stands were packed with cheering fans.

And the best part is that we one! Go Reds Go!

Al & I attempted to take a nice photo, which Scott prompty ruined
…by trying to eat my head?!?!

Just as I was teasing my friend (on the rightt) about his choice of a red and white floral shirt, we ran into another guy with the exact same shirt on. What are the chances that two guys would both pick that shirt and wear it on the same day, to the same venue, at the same stadium exit? Apparently the odds are greater than we thought.

Post-game it was back to my friends’ place to watch the second-to-last game of the World Cup (Congrats Germany!!!) Nothing like watching a couple of great soccer games in beautiful weather to remind you why Summer in the city can be fun 🙂
