Yesterday afternoon, I came home to find the new IKEA catalogue waiting for me on the front porch. I may or may not have done a little dance right there on the spot (my apologizes to my neighbours!)
Even if I have no plans to change anything in my own home, I love seeing what new ideas they have come up with. While devouring every page, I spotted a few new items that caught me eye:
The nature-inspired whimsical pattern on the TRIPP black and white storage tins (44.99) is fun for in the kitchen, or even as supply storage in a home office.
The dynamic shape and vibrant colour of this mouth blown green glass vase SOLSTRÅLE ($9.99) instantly caught my eye. It makes me want to pick up some fresh flowers on the way home from work tonight!
The slightly out of focus flowers on this BILD poster ($10) adds a touch of softness to the vibrant fushia hues. Hung in a gallery style with a simple black frame and white matting, this would look great in an entrance way.
Although its not usually in my taste, this BIRGIT Swedish folk style of bedroom textiles looks inviting when layered together on this bed, with plenty of colours to pull accesories from.
By far, my favorite new addition was the DUKTIG line of childrens toys. It seems that IKEA has caught on to the felt food trend and made some of their own. Between a basket of fruit, breakfast set, vegetable crate and dessert set ($9.99 each), these make for a great line of toys for kids, without the fear of dangerous chemicals in plastic toys.
Have you received your IKEA catalogue yet? Anything catch your eye?
