Relaxing Weekend

Its been a cold, rainy, dreary long weekend – feeling more like Fall than Summer. Everyone is lying around the house reading and watching movies, while I’ve been baking in an attempt to warm myself up. Sitting by an oven while Pumpkin Brownies are cooking has a way of warming you up 🙂

Whiskey has been happy all day to just sit on the couch and cuddle with whoever is willing to stay put long enough for a nap. Our friend Liz was happy to have his company while reading a good book.
I often wonder what is going on inside that little head of his.
Penny for your thoughts, Whisk?
He’s probably dreaming about scraps of bacon and cheese falling on the floor. He really knows how to treasure life’s little moments.

I’ll itching go steal Whiskey from Liz in a bit to cuddle up for a nice Sunday afternoon movie. Just because the weather isn’t nice enough for a boat ride or swim, doesn’t mean that I can’t enjoy the laziness of the long weekend. I just didn’t think I’d be replacing my ice cold lemonade with hot chocolate so soon!
