Calm and Quiet Sunday

Its been a chaotic work week and today is my only day off, so I intend to make the most of it!

I woke up to a pitcher full of big beautiful purple carnations. Nothing like fresh cut flowers to put you in a good mood.

I had a few slices of cinnamon bread lying around that my great aunt gave me and I decided to use them to make a fun breakfast for me and the boyfriend.

French Toast! I soaked the bread in beaten egg and cinnamon.

The smell of cinnamon filled the kitchen. They turned out great, but I forgot to take a picture before I ate the french toast – it was that good!

I’ve just finished tidying up the kitchen and I spotted something that I got for my birthday…

…sprout seeds!

My mother knows my love of sprouts and thought it would be fun for me to grow them on my own for salads and such. I’m going to start them up today and see how they turn out. Anyone else try to grow them before?

Otherwise than that, I plan to plan nothing today. Just curl up with the pooch and read a good book. Maybe make a soup for lunches this week. And definitely take a little cat nap too 🙂

Hope that you all have a wonderful Sunday!
