Last night Amy came over and we baked cupcakes for her upcoming birthday party. By 8pm on a Friday night, we were both in our sweatpants, with mixing bowls in hand.
What can I say? We’re baking dorks.
She was torn between which cupcakes to make: Red Velvet or Cookies ‘n’ Cream?
So we made BOTH! Best decision made all week.
The Cookies ‘n’ Cream ones smelt great, but Red Velvet has always been a favourite of mine.
The batter smelled a little bit too coffee-ish, but hopefully it will lose a bit of that taste once you add the cream cheese icing.
In the end they turned out great and I can’t wait for everyone to try them tonight at her party. I still have to put the final touches on my costume (wait until you see the pics next week!) and then I’ll be heading over for the big event.
