Wedding

Bridal Shower

Yesterday I went to a lovely bridal shower for my friend Courtney who is getting married in 27 days! Time has gone by so fast and I can hardly believe that its almost time for the wedding.

Here is the lovely bride (center), with her sister/maid of honour on the left and me, one of her bridesmaids. The other bridesmaid lives out West and will be coming just in time for the wedding. Can’t wait to meet her in person!

The bride’s parents’ home was filled with well wishing ladies who laughed and told stories all afternoon.

There was also plenty of delicious food for everyone to enjoy.

I made a beeline right for this tray of fruit. How gorgeous is the presentation!

Another big hit was this delicious homemade bread that came right out of the oven. It made me wish I had a breadmaker.

Perfect red roses decorated the table.

After lunch it was time for gifts! I always love seeing what they get and the reaction on their faces.

Oh la la 🙂

A bowl full of money. That’ll come in handy!

And a “Money Tree”. What an adorable way to give cash.

I love the little clothespins they used!

The true guest of honour wasn’t the bride, but her family cat, Carter. He is one of the friendliest cats I’ve ever met and definitely seems to know it. Lets just say that he wasn’t starved for attention with all those ladies around.

How can you resist those bright blue eyes? I’m allergic to cats and even I had to give him a few rubs behind the ears!

The countdown is on for the wedding and I can’t wait! Next up we have the bachelorette party and I’m sure it’ll be a great time. We’ve got some fun ideas up our sleeves for that one 🙂
