Recipe

Oreo Cheesecake Cookies

Every year my sister and I have a Bake Off where we each try a new recipe and get all our friends to vote on it at our family’s Guy Fawkes Bonfire Night. Some years we make real winners and some years their both failures, but its always fun doing it. While brainstorming what to bake this year, I realized that I never posted the recipe from last year’s bake off! My recipe came in second place because my sister made this incredible Peppermint Patty Brownies (recipe to come soon!), but mine was still pretty good so I thought I’d share it with you guys!

I made Oreo Cheesecake Cookies!

The cookie part was chewy in the middle with a great cheesecake flavour and the oreos provided some extra crunch. Not as good as the brownies, but a solid second place anyways!

What you’ll need:
1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
3 oz Cream Cheese, softened
1 cup Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 cup Flour
1/2 cup Mini Chocolate Chips
1 cup Oreo Cookie Crumbs

Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, cream together butter and cream cheese until combined.

Add the sugar and vanilla and mix until everything is well combined.

Add in the flour and continue mixing on low until the dough is formed.

Stir in the mini chocolate chips.

Scoop the dough into a 1″ ball.

Roll in the Oreo cookie crumbs until covered.

Place covered dough on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden.

Let cool cookies on the pan for two minutes and then transfer to a wire rack.

They were great on their own, but for a few of them I decided to try something else…

I melted 1/2 cup of white chocolate chips in the microwave.

I tried to drizzle it over the cookies, but that didn’t work, so I just frosted a few cookies and sprinkled with red sugar crystals. Delicious and Indulgent, just the way I like it 🙂

Now I just need to figure out a great recipe for this year’s party!
