Autumn Family Thanksgiving

Spending Time with the Family

Last night we had my family’s big Thanksgiving dinner at my aunt and uncle’s cottage. The weather was perfect and everyone was in great spirits.

My aunt decorated the table beautifully in lovely fall colours.
The smaller table for us “kids” was set up on the front porch. We spent the entire evening out there telling stories and laughing until our stomachs hurt.
Before we knew it the smell of hot turkey came wafting out from the kitchen and we knew that it was time to head into the cottage.
There was lots of great food and I made a point to try all off my favourites – turkey and gravy, Mom`s Macaroni and Cheese, honey carrots and fresh corn from the cob. I also had a little sliver of pumpkin pie with some freshly whipped cream. All of it tasted amazing!

We have another turkey dinner tonight at my parents’ house and then its leftovers for the next week : )
