Christmas Holidays

Almost Ready for Christmas

Today is the last day that I have to get stuff done before I head to my parents’ home for Christmas. I’m working at home today and have lots of paperwork to do, but I decided I’d rather get up early and get my fun chores done first.

I made a batch of White Christmas Crunch, using dark chocolate swirls instead of crushed candy canes. I’ve already sampled the corner of it and can confirm that it tastes great!

I (finally) finished sewing the new velvet stockings that I made for us this year. Looking forward to filling them with goodies tomorrow!

and lastly I made a batch of my Mom’s Homemade Macaroni and Cheese to take to Garretts’ family Christmas tonight. Its one of our family’s favourites and is always a crowd pleaser.

I’ve still got all that paperwork to get done, but its much easier to do it with Christmas music playing in the background.

I hope that you’re all having a nice Friday and are enjoying all this Christmas cheer!

Merry Christmas Amanda! I found your blog almost two years ago. I am a senior citizen and have some disabilities. Reading your blog and a few other “good” ones brighten my days. You are such a good cook and decorator. I love seeing Whiskey too. I love all God’s creatures. You have given me many smiles this year. And now you have your young fellow to celebrate with you and your families. Have a safe and wonderful New Year! Mel

Hi, I'm Amanda! Join me as I make my family's 1903 farmhouse into a home. I share renovations, DIY projects, recipes, our flower farm and the joy of living in the Canadian countryside
