Friday Morning

Back in November, I planted my first amaryllis and over the past six weeks it has quickly grown into a towering plant.

When I came into the dining room this morning I saw that it now has six full blooms and another two on the way.

I love how bright and bold these red blooms are. They add a nice pop of colour on these cold winter days.

After admiring the flowers, I decided to make up a big batch of quinoa for breakfast…only to find out that we’re out of milk. Don’t you hate when that happens? So I popped some bread in the toaster and decided that jam on toast would be a nice substitute.

Then I came back to the couch to find that someone else had taken over my laptop. The second I saw this, I started to crack up and had to get the camera. What a goofball.

I’ve been working away on the computer all morning and I just looked up to see that its almost time for lunch. How is this day getting away on me so quickly? I’ve still got some more files to wrap up before I get ready to visit some friends in the city tonight. A great way to start a (hopefully) relaxing weekend.

Happy Friday Everyone!
