It’s been awhile since I’ve shared some pictures of Whiskey and when I was going through my phone last night, I noticed that I had a ton of photos of him from this summer that I’ve never shared.
Out on the boat for a ride down the river with Shadow.
He loves to perch on top of the seats and watch all the birds nearby.
And lick his lips when a particularly tasty looking bird goes by. He was eyeing up a Great Blue Heron in this picture.
Taking a Sunday afternoon nap on the couch, with his polar bear toy as a pillow. He does this all the time with his plush toys. Or he holds them between his paws.
A post-nap scratching session. I’m always worried he is going to roll of the bed when he is doing this.
Sometimes I like to get dinner in the oven after work and then read in the bedroom while I wait for it to be done. Whiskey is always my reading buddy (although he gets annoyed and restless when I make too much noise turning the pages.)
Begging me to put down the book and give him a belly rub.
He always managed to find the best sunbeams on the bed. We keep the door closed during the day, but once we’re home in the afternoon he has free range of the apartment – including all the best napping spots.
Hanging out in his donut bed on Garrett’s lap. Garrett did this as a joke to make him look like a taco, but then he fell asleep in 5 seconds. Jokes on us. He must have felt very safe and cozy in there.
It’s a common occurrence to come into the living room and find these two snuggled up together on the couch. If either of us are having a nap on the couch, you can guarantee that Whiskey will weasel his way in there.
I caught this picture while Garrett was doing some stretches on the floor after a run. These two are just too cute together.
They really are best buddies.
Whiskey loves it when Garrett has a day off and they can go see his grandmother together. She always has some little goodies for him.
Whenever I am heading into the city, we make a stop to see my Aunt Marian too. You should hear the cries that Whiskey makes when he sees her. (Here is a video that demonstrates his love for his family)
He’s the best little traveler and always up for a new adventure.
When I go to do laundry at my parents’ house every week, he likes to sit up on top of the laundry basket and watch the world go by.
Love this little guy. Coming home to see him (and Garrett) is always the best part of my day.

OMG!!! Our dogs could be brother and sister….I found your blog while looking for pet costume ideas (your taco is HILARIOUS) and was suprised to see just how SIMILAR our dogs look! Amazing! Our little Ariel is a funny pup too….and she usually has one ear up and one down… Whiskey is a cutie too.

Seriously? That’s crazy. Do you have a blog or can you send me a picture where I can see your dog? Do you know what breed she is?

Whiskey is so perfect. You are so lucky to have him.
I agree. I also see similarities between your dog Whiskey (hmmm, my very first pet was a cat named Whiskey)…and my dog George…well, George’s ears don’t always stand as erect as Whiskey’s do.
We can never know what breed our rescue dogs are, but have you any idea what Whiskey might be? I don’t have a regalar blog but I post and add pics of George in the Pet Chat area which is in the Sandbox Forum on AllThingsPlants.

Thanks! We sure to love him (and his partner-in-crime Cola) a whole lot. I just popped over and saw the pictures of your dogs. So cute! And I see you’re from Savannah. One of my favourite US cities and a stop on our honeymoon road trip last year!
