Last Friday ended up being a great day because a dear friend of mine had a baby. So exciting! I got to pop by yesterday to see him for the first time and I was so smitten. The little noises that come out of him are just too sweet.
He has the cutest little dimples and a full head of hair. I’m looking forward to going back next week to take some proper newborn photos. I’ve never done it before and I’m excited that he’ll be my first one!
It good news…it’s Friday! The sun is shining today and it feels like a day of hope and possibilities. Here are some things I found around the web that hopefully brighten up your Friday too.

Best Interview: 73 Questions with Sarah Jessica Parker in her NYC apartment. I have to admit that I was more excited to see what her space was like than I was to hear the answers. It was just as fantastic as I’d hoped. Lots of quirky, fun, creative pieces. The interview was pretty cute too. A fun take on the traditional celebrity interview.
Healthy Snack: As soon as I saw this recipe, I put chickpeas on the grocery list. They are one of my favourite healthy snack foods and I always love to try new flavours. I’ve made Salt & Vinegar Chickpeas and Sweet Spiced Roasted Chickpeas in the past, which have both turned out great!
These Boots Are Made for Cleaning: It’s been a rough winter and all my favourite footwear has taken a serious beating. The salt and moisture has wrecked havoc on them and I want to use this tutorial to revive some of my beloved boots. Any suggestions out there for suede?
Etsy Art: This sign by spoonlily are words I need to live by.
Building up the Spring Cleaning List: My little home office is totally out of hand right now. With tax season, there is paperwork everywhere and I still haven’t put the stuff away from making our wedding invitations. I saw Lauren Conrad’s 6 Tips for a Chic and Tidy Desk and it inspired me to get my stuff in order. Reorganizing the office is a must this week. Let’s hope it turns out looking at least half as clean and tidy as this one!
Mix and Match Bedroom: I used to work in an old district of Toronto and I fell in love with all the beautiful brick-and-beam buildings with their large windows, hardwood floors and fading painted signs. This bedroom brings back those memories where industrial meets chic.
Rough and Rustic Bathroom: I got some beautiful bathroom supplies at the bridal shower, including big fluffy white towels and a gorgeous tiered glass container and now it makes me want to redo the bathroom again to be light and airy like this one.
Stellar Logo: I’m always a sucker for some good graphic design and this one from the Stars Grill in Charleston, South Carolina is perfect. Clean, simple, vintage and plays on the name. You don’t have to go glitzy to make a big statement.
Have an awesome weekend everyone!
