It’s Friday…and it’s supposed to be spring but we’re dealing with more snow flurries again today. I’m really hoping that we just jump from winter right into summer because someone has a wedding in May that she would love to have great weather for! We had planned to use some fresh lilacs from my parents’ front yard in some of the centrepieces, but now I’m starting to think they may not even be in bloom by then. It’s been a weird year for weather, but this means we’ll have an awesome summer, right?

Easter Treats: These Rice Krispie Easter chick pops from Craftberry Bush are adorable. They would add a fun touch to any Easter festivities.
Festive Flashback: Exactly two years ago, I painted these styrofoam Robin’s Eggs for some colourful Easter decor and I still love them. I bring them out every year and find new ways to use them – in clear vases, nestled in tall wheat grass, or scattered around a table.
Delicate DIY: I almost couldn’t believe it when I saw these wire flowers filled with nail polish and then wired into a wreath for your hair (tutorial here). I may just have to give this a try.
Etsy Find: I always get so excited when I come across some fun and quirky piece of jewlery on Etsy and these Twig Initial Necklaces from Sarah Hood Jewelry are just the ticket.
Bookcase Envy: I love many of the little details in this room but it is that bookcase framing the pocket door that really calls to me. Talk about an efficient use of space!
Decadent Dessert: When I saw this Milk Chocolate Goat Cheese Ice Cream with Chocolate Ganache Chunks from Jessica at How Sweet It Is, I did a double take. Goat Cheese? In ice cream? Then I read about how rich and creamy it is, and how it tastes like chocolate cheesecake. Count me in.
Sassy Sidedish: I know that mushrooms are one of those things that some people don’t like, but for me they’re one of my favourite vegetables. They have the ability to take on many different flavours from whatever dish they are in. I would love to make these Baked Parmesan Mushrooms with fresh lime and thyme to go with a nice big grilled steak. Yum!
Have a great weekend! And hopefully it’s nice and sunny wherever you are!
