I was going to do a regular Friday Favourites post, but then last night I went with Garrett to an event to celebrate the new Spring Summer 2014 collection at Chapters Indigo. Suddenly I had a whole slew of new favourites that I wanted to share with all of you!
It’s no secret that I have a great love of things from Indigo and this is not a sponsored post. I just really wanted to share it and hopefully you’ll find something that inspires you for spring too. I’ve been feeling the itch for warm weather and bright colours for so long, and it just felt like everything there was calling my name.

Drink To-Go: It’s not often that I take my favourite peppermint tea on the road with me, but after seeing these colourful ceramic travel mugs, I may just have to change my mind.
New Season, New Nail Colours: I can’t remember the last time I painted my nails (New Years?) but seeing all these fresh spring colours by coco lulu by cake, I want to get back in the habit again. Nothing brightens your day quite like looking down at your hands and seeing turquoise staring back at you.
Keepin’ Time: How cute are these watches? At only $25 each, they’re an easy way to freshen up your accessories.
Easter Table Delights: I always love a good table setting and this Easter display was just too sweet to pass up. From the chocolate eggs nestled in a birds nest to the floral cotton napkin and seagate blue plate, this would be a nice surprise for your Easter guests. The little pastel egg cups, bunny candy dishes and bunny egg cups would make sweet little touches to any Easter display.
Prints of Every Size: I couldn’t get over all the beautiful prints at the store. I would love to put the “Over the Moon” print in a nursery, or the “Rome” print in my little home office (brings back memories of our family road trip there in 2008)
Etsy Find: Until last night, I had no idea that Indigo had partnered up with Etsy to showcase some artists. Two of my favourite shops in one location! These Canadian inspired scented soy candles from Smells Like Canada evoke a sense of nostalgia with scents like Muskoka Campfire, Toronto Smoke and Up North Smores.
Knot & Bow has a paper line full of stickers, tags, twine, confetti and library book cards (remember those?). Nice little touches to any gift.
Sweet Scent: I’m not usually a scented candle person, but I can really dig milder scents like this delicious Saijo Persimmon candle. Bonus points: it’s made of clean burning coconut wax and contains no parabens, sulfates or phthalates
Rustic Kitchen Pieces: I have a few of these olive wood pieces myself and they always make great gift ideas. The bowls, cheeseboards and salad servers all have beautiful rich colours and details in the wood grain. Pair them with some tea towels for a quick gift (maybe some from the new collection by Studiopatró)
Next on my Reading List: If you’ve ever seen Chef Jo Lusted on Steve & Chris, you know that she makes fantastic dishes that are big on flavour but low on calories. Her new cookbook, Dish Do-Over, just came out and I couldn’t wait to take a peek at it. It’s loaded with great recipes and you better believe I put it on my wish list.
Next on Garrett’s Reading List: I bet he picked this because of a certain pooch that we love, but I have to agree that any book written about bourbon by an author who has a Southern name like Clay is bound to be good.
Gift for my Sweetheart: Indigo always has adorable mugs, like the monogram ones that Garrett & I use when we’re home for breakfast on a Sunday morning, or the “Good Morning Beautiful” mugs that I always admire on Elliven Studio’s instagram. These new Coffee & Donuts mugs are just too sweet to pass up – I just love the simplicity and handwritten look.
A Home for Fresh Cut Flowers: I’m a big fan of stone or ceramic vases with a little colour and some crackle to them. I could have quite happily take home all these vases with me…and add those baskets in the bin while you’re at it.

Hope you enjoyed my favourite picks from my window shopping adventure last night. We did end up coming home with a couple of books, mugs and a new candle. Little things to brighten up the dreary weather we’re supposed to have over the next few days. Hope that you have a great weekend, folks!
