Happy Friday! It’s been a whirlwind of activity here as the countdown to moving day continues. Today’s post is going to be short and sweet as I run around tonight doing errands. The reward at the end of it – a movie date!

Neighbourly Dinner: Earlier this week we had our lovely neighbours Rick and Reta over for dinner. I made my Aunt Marian’s Lasagna, caesar salad, garlic bread and warm brownie sundaes. It was a lovely evening of great conversation and good food, and it dawned on me that this was the very last dinner party in this apartment. The end of an era, just as another begins. I love all the memories we’ve put into this little home, but I’m looking forward oh-so-much to what lies ahead too.

I’m on the hunt for some good books to read this summer. After reading Kath’s review of The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing it got me thinking about other books I might like to read this summer. If you have any recommendations please leave them in the comments below. Fiction, non-fiction, serious and pure fluff, I like it all.

I heard that book got really great reviews, too! I’ve been seeing people post it all over their Instagram lately.
I’m also trying to find some great reads this summer. Have you read the Shopaholic books by Sophie Kinsella? I haven’t read them all but her books always have me cracking up at some point and they’re very light and funny stories. I also love Emily Giffin; ‘Something Borrowed’ is my favourite! (I am also open to any book suggestions!)

Hi Amanda
I read this book recently – The Irresistible Blueberry Bakeshop Cafe and loved it. It is a quick and easy read. I really enjoyed its warmth and easy flow story. Unfortunately the author has written anything else.

I also love anything by Susanna Kearsley – she writes her stories in the present and then goes back in time. The interesting thing about how she writes is that she will go and live in the area (country – England, Scotland etc. ) while writing the book. So the details and history of the area are very interesting. I would start with her book titled Marianna.

Happy reading,
