Why I Love Sending Out Christmas Cards

I first started sending out Christmas cards when I moved into my little apartment in Toronto. I’d just began living on my own and it was a great way to connect with everyone during the busy holiday season.

Since then it’s become an annual tradition that Garrett and I do together. I look forward to updating our Christmas Card List every year using my Online Holiday Planner and I love the ritual of sitting down together and listening to Christmas music while writing out cards to loved ones. People have been sending out Christmas cards for 172 years and I love to continue that tradition.

Then there is the excitement of finding cards in our own mailbox from family and friends. We spend so much of our time online all year, but when the holiday season comes around it’s nice to have something real and tangible to hold on to. We display the cards every year and then tuck them away with the Christmas decorations. I love having these memories to go back to year after year.

I’m really excited about sending out our own card this year because it’s the first one time I’m doing custom cards with photos. We setup a tripod and snapped a few photos around the property.
