Decor Easter Spring

Easter Notions

After posting about my Spring decor yesterday, I thought I’d post about a few of the little Easter things I have floating around the place. Nothing big, but just those little things that make you smile when you walk by them and remember that yes, the warm weather is on its way.

Like this fluffy little chick toy that my mother gave me years ago. Every year he makes an appearance around Easter, with his cute little feathers rocking a faux hawk hairdo. It makes me long for the little ducklings that we used to raise as kids. So cute and sweet, until they grow up into big squawking food machines. But funny enough you never remember that when you see things looking cute like this.
It wouldn’t be Easter without lots of candy and seeing as I’m a chocoholic, it seems fitting that I’d have a bowl of chocolate mini eggs. Some of this I picked up while I was in the US and it has taken a great deal of restraint not to eat a handful every time I walk by. Thankfully my brother was by on the weekend, and as a growing 16 year old he was happy to “take some of this off my hands”. I’m still finding foil wrappers in the couch.
My entire life I’ve never been a “pink person”, but when I saw this sweet little porcelain plate at Target, I just had to get it. They come in a set of 6 (3 pink chicks and 3 blue bunnies) for $17.99, but they sold me just the one plate for $2. Its the perfect size for a Spring snack, or for when my little 6 year old cousin comes by. She is a sucker for cute things just as much as I am.
I just love the details in the pattern that make the “chick”.
And of course it wouldn’t be Easter without some daffodils. I have these in a little pot on my nightstand and I’ve been waking up to them every morning 🙂
