The greatest thing I have noticed from this Challenge is that my philosophy has changed on what it means to me to be fit. I used to be the kind of person who worried about a number on a scale or kept a food diary meticulously writing down caloric intake. Now I’m focused on improved health, strength and flexibility. Interestingly enough I now want to eat healthier and look forward to my workouts, because they don’t seem like stressful work. Don’t get me wrong, I still struggle to get through most of my workouts, but I know that when its all done I’ll feel better for having done it.
When I don’t have the time to fit something it, my muscles feel tight and my body feels sluggish. Its like my body now craves doing something physical, even if its just a few forward stretches while I’m getting ready for bed. Any little bit of movement helps.
This is the final week of the Fall Fitness Challenge, so I’m looking forward to almost being done! Its been great to how things have changed mentally and physically for me and I know that I’ll be keep it up even after I stop blogging about it.
This week’s exercise was really focusing on stretching and building muscle, with no cardio, I’m hoping to get back on the indoor bike soon though (as running is just too cold here.)
