Mini Tropical Vacation

It is absolutely FREEZING up here in Toronto today. I could barely get myself out the door this morning, let alone Whiskey. The chihuahua in him is not a big fan of the cold weather. Not quite sure what my excuse is. Some days all that I can think about is being somewhere nice, warm and sunny. Then the wind chills sets in and I remember that I’ve got a long 5 months until I see anything that resembles that.

Then something happened the other day when I went to Hot Yoga….

I was laying in the class doing savasana, trying to focus on my breathing, when I looked up and saw the white billowing curtains dancing above my head from an window cracked open. Then I started paying attention to how I felt in the room. I was in shorts and a tank top, and yet I felt the warmest I had been in months. I let the heat seep in and just relaxed. Its the closest I’ve been to a tropical vacation in years, but I loved every minute of it.

Peaceful music
Hot room
Billowing curtains
Lights dimmed so that no one can see how friggin’ pale I am these days.
Who could ask for more?

So, for the $10 I paid for the class, it was totally worth it to enjoy the warmth, while fitting in a little exercise too. If only I could pay them to let me nap in there too….
