Apartment Moving Video

Video Tour of the Toronto Apartment

Before I started tearing the place apart for the move, I thought it would be nice to take a quick video of my old apartment to show all of you what it looks like and for me to look back on years from now and remember my little home in the city. I always seem to show the same shots of the living room, bedroom and kitchen, so its nice to finally show you guys the rest of the place.

Please ignore the grainy quality – I had already lent out my good camera to a friend and all I had was the camera on my point-and-shoot. I really hope that none of my film school professors see this or they may just have to take away my degree.

Please ignore the whispering at the beginning – I was in the hallway and didn’t want to bother my super grumpy second floor neighbour. I definitely won’t be missing her when I leave.
Please ignore the dishes in the sink – I’m in the process of washing lots of stuff while I pack it, so there has been a mountain of dishes as I go through everything. And I’m lazy 🙂
Enough of the disclaimers, on with the show…

Toronto Apartment Tour – October 2011 from Small Home Big Start on Vimeo.

I have to admit that I’m getting a little misty about leaving the old place behind. Its been a great little bachelorette pad for the past 3 1/2 years and I’ve had lots of great memories of family and friends here.

That being said, I’m over the moon about the new place. Garrett went and picked up the keys last night, which means we’ll be able to drop off a load of boxes over the long weekend, and hopefully take some photos of the place before we move everything in. I love before and after photos!
