Christmas Holidays

Our Tree is Up!

Last night, Garrett and I dug out the Christmas tree and started decorating….while watching The Walking Dead. Nothing says Christmas like zombies, right?

Whiskey was quite concerned about all the commotion going on…but not enough to leave his post on the couch.

The great thing about a smaller tree is that is takes no time at all to get it all decorated! I love how bright and festive the room looks once you have the tree up.

In the spirit of being thrifty this year, I only wanted to use ornaments I had, such as these large gold balls and cute smaller red ones.
I also used the Gingerbread Man Ornaments I made last year.

I found these cute little plastic candy canes in the bottom of the bin and decided to use them…because if they were real they wouldn’t last until Christmas around here.

How adorable is this little reindeer that I got on a gift last year. I think it almost looks like my little pup.

There are still some odds and ends to put up around the house, but its already starting to feel like Christmas in our little apartment.

Apparently all this decorating was just too much for Whiskey….so he fell asleep…in the oddest position. Almost looks like a kangaroo, right?

I’m putting mine up as we speak (er, type)! Well, currently taking a break to eat yogurt, but yeah. Mines just a little 3 footer with a base making it 4 foot, looks about the size of yours.
And it started snowing about 3 minutes ago, which makes today a pretty good day.
Of course Michael Buble’s Christmas album is playing too 🙂

Thanks for stopping by today, Amanda! I love your tree! The colors are perfect with your room and those felt ornaments are really cute. By the way, I think Whiskey is about the most adorable dog name (or nickname?) I’ve ever heard! 🙂
