Christmas Holidays

The Elf on the Shelf

elf-on-the-shelf
Ever heard of “The Elf on the Shelf”? I caught wind of this idea last year and I think its one of the cutest things I’ve seen in a long time. The idea is that every day from Thanksgiving to Christmas Eve, each family’s scout elf watches over the children and then every night goes back to the North Pole to report back to Santa about whether they’re being naughty or nice. Before the family wakes up each morning, the elf flies back and hides in a new spot in the house.

Sometimes he is somewhere just watching over the family….but more times than not he’s been up to something mischievous. Here are some of my favourite situations that this little elf gets himself into (and some super creative parents behind it too)!

And he may even get to excited to wait to open the presents on Christmas.

How cute is that idea, right?

“The Elf on the Shelf” book is becoming so popular that its even been turned into an animated film by Hallmark this year.

There is also this cute video about “Christmas Training Camp” for the Elves.
