Decor DIY

Day 7: Putting Pictures in our Picture Frames

For the past few months we’ve been living with empty picture frames all over the new apartment.

Some of them even had the picture we wanted in them just resting on top.
I finally said enough is enough and went to the photo shop to get some of my favourite pictures of the past year printed.
I put one of Amy and me in the frame on my desk shelves.
This picture from our trip to Black Creek Pioneer Village and the browns and greens fit in perfectly with the bathroom decor.
Our bookcase has been looking a little bare, so I put up a couple of photos there too.
I love this picture of my little buddy 🙂
I also put all the resting photos in their frames, like this nice photo that was taken of us at the wedding this fall.
The only frame that I could not fill is this massive 11″x14″ frame, because our photo shop won’t print them that big. I think I’m going to have to make/find some artwork to go in here instead. We have it there to cover the exposed fuse box, so it isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. But that is another project for another time.

Shutterfly offers prints in 11×14 inch, for 7.99 excl. S&H ( http://www.shutterfly.com/prints/large-format-prints ) 🙂 Now I have never ordered anything of Shutterfly or anything, but I figured that since you said your own photo shop didn’t print pics that big, there should be online services that did. First checked foto.com but that one did only offer smaller sizes as well. Just figured I’d share! I’m looking into online photo services to have some of our wedding pics printed as well as some photo books, and I remembered seeing larger sizes.

Thanks for the tip about Shutterfly! I’ll have to see if they ship to Canada. It would be so nice to have a big picture in that hallway with a few smaller frames too. Sort of like a gallery wall.
