Last night Garrett and I celebrated Valentine’s Day after both having long days at work. I was so glad that we didn’t try to go out and wait for a table/food/bill. I just wouldn’t have had the patience.
But I did have the patience for making this…
…melty gooey cheese.
We dipped in bread, apples and veggies. Sooo good!
One of our ongoing traditions has been making each other cards for every holiday. I went with a bee theme and Garrett created this adorable red felt heart. He always manages to make me tear up when I read the inside.
Even Whiskey got a little Valentine’s Day gift.
I gave Garrett one of these nano hexbug things in his Christmas stocking and it was Whiskey’s favourite toy until he killed it, so I thought I’d buy him a new one to play with.
It looks like he didn’t like it too much, but I swear his tail is wagging.
I wonder how long it will take him to kill this one.

LOL! I wish my dog was not such a wuss, she would be too scared of it! Maybe I will get one for my cats though…..
Its actually a kid’s toy called a “HexBug” that I bought at a toy store. It was originally meant as a gag gift for Garrett, but it has quickly become their favourite activity to do together. Whiskey gets excited as soon as Garrett reaches for it on his desk.
I bet a cat would love it! It moves quick enough that they’s be enticed to go for it!
