Insta-Friday

life rearranged

I’m linking up to Insta-Friday today at Life Rearranged and Its My Insta-Life – sharing my favourite photos from my phone over the last week.

Whiskey and I having a snuggle in the car while Garrett was driving/pumping gas/ordering Tim Hortons. Our little pup always gets so cold, so I try to bundle him up and snuggle when we’re in the car.

At home, he’s been loving his new dog bed. This is a common sight at our place – two little dog ears sticking up.

A quick shopping trip to Canadian Tire for windshield washer fluid became an impromptu discussion on furniture. Why didn’t I just go straight to the aisle I needed to instead of looking around.

We’ve been hunting for a small console to put against the wall between the bathroom and the front hall. Something to hold odds and ends, plus some towel storage too. I really loved this piece, but it was literally 1 inch too wide and would have hit the step ledge. I cannot tell you how frustrating it was. However, it was also a little more than we’d have liked to spend, so I’m hoping that if I can hold out until the Spring garage sales start, I can find something cheaper that we can just refinish ourselves.

It looks like all the Easter stuff is out now. I’ll admit that I’m such a sucker for this stuff and was oohing and ahhing over all the cute containers and baking supplies. I didn’t buy anything, but it took plenty of restraint to walk away.

I found these sweet Spring eggs that are similar to a project that I’ve been working on that I’ll share on the blog in the next few weeks. I’m really loving all these delicate Spring colours, but there is no way I’d spend $7 on plastic eggs when I can make them cheaper at home.

I got struck down with a nasty cold this week and had to go to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription. The worst part of picking up a prescription is waiting around for it to be ready. You can only walk around the store aimlessly for so long, especially when you’re feeling like you’re been run over by an 18 wheeler.

Thankfully I had this guy around to keep me entertained. I literally turned around and burst out laughing when I saw this angry bunny. Laughter really is the best medicine.

I also had my favourite little nurse to help lounge on the couch with me too. It may look like he’s growling, but really he just got his lip stuck on his tooth, and proceeded to look at me with big eyes while I laughed at him.

For some reason he reminds me of that acorn-crazed squirrel in the Ice Age movies. How ironic considering that he thinks squirrels are invading our house every time they climb the trees outside the window.

I’m thankful that it is Friday and I can head home soon for a weekend of crafting, cooking and reading. Maybe even dinner and drinks with friends, or a trip out to one of the maple sugar shacks. I’m loving these unstructured weekends we’ve been having lately. A nice break from the day-to-day drama of the week. Hope you get some time to yourself this weekend too!
