Christmas Friends Holidays University

A Roommates Christmas

This weekend we went to a special Christmas dinner with my former roommates from university. We had so much fun last year, and I was looking forward to this all month.

We found this hilarious little Santa suit for $6 while we were doing some last minute shopping that morning, so we dressed Whiskey up in it for the dinner.

He looked so cute as a little Santa.

When we got to Jenilee and Christian’s the table was all set and ready for our big potluck Christmas dinner.

Jen made an awesome turkey with homemade stuffing and cranberry sauce, and we all brought the sides. There was so much food and it all tasted fantastic!

It was great to have (almost) the whole gang there!

Alison and Dave got married in Hawaii last month, so we did a champagne toast to them. And to Colleen and Kevin getting married in May and Jenilee and Christian in July. It was a great year for weddings in our group! I’m so happy for all of them 🙂

Jen’s brother stopped by with his cute American Bulldog puppy, Louie. He looks small now, but he could get up to 130 lbs!

He took quite the liking to Whiskey, and the two of them started having a little playtime.

The photos that came from this little play time were hilarious.

 Jumping on the couch.

 A flying puppy!

And a very happy Whiskey. He loves playing with other dogs.

After dinner (and some puppy wrestling), we did an ornament gift exchange. It was so fun to see what everyone brought and get our own new ornaments for the tree.

We ended up bringing a set of 3 of these little crystal moose, and a silver 3D snowflake for our ornaments, and came back with a set of 3 silver leaves and an abominable snowman from Rudolph.

The rest of the night we played games, drank wine and laughed…a lot. It was so nice to get together with everyone during the holidays

Now I’m sitting here with a mug of hot chocolate (with a dash of Bailey’s Irish Cream), and getting ready to get started on our last minute Christmas Eve dinner prep. The turkey is in and the countdown begins!

Have a wonderful Christmas Eve!
