Last month when I shared my Road Trip Essentials from the honeymoon., I also talked about Etsy Canada embarking on their own road trip to Montreal, Ottawa, Kingston and Toronto with live music, food trucks and handmade wares from local Etsy sellers.
I loved this idea and would have been over the moon to head into the city to see it, but unfortunately I couldn’t make it. Thankfully they put together a fun little video:
I’m a huge fan of Etsy and I’ve used them a lot this year for gifts and wedding stuff. I feel like there is a big movement towards people wanting to know where their goods are coming from and connecting with the artists and shop owners.
For myself, I like to read about the shops, how they create the pieces and support small businesses. With the chilly weather this weekend, I found myself wrapped up in a big blanket, with a mug of peppermint tea, searching for some fun fall pieces.
I can’t wait for scarf season and this lightweight mustard scarf looks so cozy. I just love the chunk cable knit pattern and the rustic button. It also comes in ivory, pumpkin and cranberry.
From the simplicity of the design to the rustic look, this leather tote bag would be the perfect day bag.
Yummy soaps with real ingredients is something I always look to pick up, like this lavender oatmeal soap. They’re great for gifts…and for yourself too.
I’ve never attempted croqueting, but I sure do love this slouchy hat pattern. With the chilly weather coming back, I need something to keep my head warm on those cold morning dog walks.
If you weren’t able to meet up with the Etsy team on their road trip, be sure to check out their Made in Canada pop up shops coming to cities across Canada on September 27!
