Family Video Vlog

Our Family Vlog – A New Adventure

life-at-cloverhill-youtube-picture

Happy Friday!!! I’m so very excited to announce a secret little project we’ve been working on the last couple of weeks – we’re doing a family vlog series! The plan is to share some little snippets of our family life and behind the scenes footage. At this point, we’re not sure how often it will be (maybe a few times a month), but I hope that you’ll follow along with us.

When I went to upload the video today and push “publish”, I had so many butterflies in my stomach. I’m nervou…but in a good way. The kind of nervous you get when you’re taking on a new challenge that pushing you out of your comfort zone, excites you and terrifies you at the same time. After almost 8 years of blogging, the idea of changing things up a little is really motivating.

I have always loved following along with different vlogs and seeing what life is like in New York, the UK, Australia, etc, so part of me wanted to do this to share our own story with the world. The other part of me wanted to do this to catch these everyday moments of our family and remember them. Something more than just little phone videos that we send the grandparents.

It took us a little while to 1) get used to talking to the camera and 2) learn how to properly use our video camera. I majored in film studies in university (ten years ago. gasp!) but it’s been a very long time since I’ve done much shooting and editing. It was fun to dust off the old skills and play around again.

You can watch this week’s episode here or on YouTube and don’t forget to SUBSCRIBE to my YouTube channel to see any new videos when they’re posted.

Thanks again friends for following along on this journey. xoxo Amanda

Thanks Teri for following along and for saying hi! The Finger Lakes are so lovely, especially as we get into fall right now. We missed driving through there on our road trip in August, but I hope we’ll be back through there another time.

Hi, I'm Amanda! Join me as I make my family's 1903 farmhouse into a home. I share renovations, DIY projects, recipes, our flower farm and the joy of living in the Canadian countryside
