I love spinning, but in order to get a great workout, you need a great instructor. I recommend getting a heart rate monitor to track how hard you really are working, as well as testing out a few different instructors, to find a good one. …and the saddle situation goes away after just a few classes (although I have seen people bring seat cushions to class before as well 😉
Good luck!
Not my favourite but I still liked it. I don’t know if we were in the same class, but my heart was beating like hammer. And my pulse was on a runaway train.
Hi! I teach spinning, and I always tell my newbies that they will be sore for usually the first 2-3 classes…then your muscles adjust, and it’s smooth sailing! It probably doesn’t have anything to do with how you are sitting, just the fact that you are sitting on muscles that normally aren’t sat on. A good instructor will allow you to stand up whenever you need to as well to relieve that pressure! Good luck….stick with it. It’s worth it.
