Congrats to all the participants who did the 100 Miles in May Challenge. I loved waking up every morning to your emails and hearing great stories of how you were doing the challenge. It really helped motivate me to keep on moving, even when it was raining so much this month. Thank you so much for going on this adventure with me and I hope that you’ll join me on more challenges in the future!
I know that many of you out there were using this challenge to spend more time with friends and family, whether it was evening walks with the dog, running with a buddy in the morning, or walking with friends through your neighbourhood. Hearing about people getting out there and moving just goes to show that you can have lots of fun being active together!
One of my favorite stories of people doing the challenge together was Christy and her daughter Jessie. Every week I’d receive an email about how they were doing together and it warmed my heart to think of them sharing this experience with one another. At the end of the challenge, I received this sweet email from Christy with a picture of Jessie.

Jessie was really into this challenge and took it very serious. Like I mentioned she had to get a bigger bike and the 2nd to last day my parents gave me one of their old bikes. I wore out my roller blades from using them on the streets but my parents also found me a brand new pair of nice roller blades at a yard sale for only $5. They saw how we were enjoying it and wanted to help out 🙂

I decided to sign up for dailymile to track my mileage, since I’m going to continue it this month too! While I was using the computer to track how far I went, I was writing down everything on paper and adding it up like the old days. With the site, I just plunk in my numbers and see it in a chart. Much easier! And I know with this nicer weather, I’ll definitely get over 100miles THIS month 😛

Thanks so much Amanda! It was such a great experience. I definitely found the challenge to be a huge motivator. Great job to all those who finished.
