Canada Cottage Dogs Outdoors Summer

So Close To Starting Our Canada Day Long Weekend

This weekend we’re heading up to our friends’ cottage. It’s the third year in a row that we’ve gone up there for the Canada Day long weekend and I’ve been looking forward to it all spring.
Now it really feels like summer is here.

I’m all packed up, with only some last minute food prep to do when I get home tonight and then it’s off to the cottage!

My new iPod is loaded up with some tunes and yoga podcasts for the weekend. I’ve got the yoga mats packed up for some stretching in the sun with some of the girls.

I used it in the car for the first time this morning and now I have this song in my head. This is one of my favourite songs right now. Loving Eric Church.

A quick trip to Walmart last night to pick up new flip flops. They are identical to a pair that I had a few years ago (probably from Walmart back then too) and I was so excited when I saw them. Super comfy and soft.
I also picked up a magazine to read. Real Simple is definitely one of my favourites and I get one as a treat a couple of times a year. I’m also bringing along my latest Kristin Higgins book. Light and fun books like this are perfect for reading on the dock, stretched out on a towel with a cool drink nearby.
I’m getting excited just thinking about it!
Someone else is pretty excited too….he came running into the dining room and started wagging his tail as soon as he saw his lifejacket.
Our little buddy sure does love to head out on the boat.
Now I just have to dig out his little Canada Day bandana.
Hope that you all have a nice weekend with plenty of fun in the sun!

Have a great trip! Our dogs hate the life vests, lol. One loves to swim, the other detests the water…but they love the boat!
