Yay for the weekend! Mine will be full of fun DIY wedding projects as we get down to the final month before the big day. I’ve already got the painted stained yoga pants and an old camp T-shirt dug out for the occasion. It’ll be a very stylish weekend indeed.

Longing for Spring Flowers: Lilacs are one of my favourite flowers and they are always blooming around my birthday, but I’m hoping they come out a bit early so we can toss some into my bouquet. I love this photo by wedding photographer Jen Huang. You can almost smell that sweet honey scent through the picture. Her site is full of amazing wedding photos – this gal’s got a lot of talent!
Awesome Furniture Before and After: One of our post-wedding projects for the summer is to refinish our coffee table. After seeing this industrial coffee table makeover I’m thinking we should start over and make it a whole new rustic top. Love the industrial touches paired with the worn wood.
Friday Night Dinner Switch Up: Lately we’ve been making pizza or stirfry for our Friday night “take-in” dinners. I’m always looking for new ideas to spice up the menu. These oven baked chimichangas look easy to make and lighter than the traditional fried version.
Simple Easter Craft: After the Easter Egg Fail earlier this week, I’ve been looking for another Easter craft to get me back into the spirit. These adorable fabric bunny treat bags look super cute and quick to make. This tutorial calls for using a Silhouette cutter, but you should be able to do it by hand cutting the pieces too.
Weekend Craft: I’m digging this nail and string feather art project. It’s the same technique that I used to make my Wooden Christmas Sign last year.
Mandatory Stretching: I just got back into my regular yoga classes and it’s made a huge improvement on my back pain. After a long day sitting at a desk, it’s important to stretch your lower back, hips and shoulders. This yoga sequence for an aching back is a great routine that you can easily do at home. I usually do it after taking Whiskey for a walk because my muscles have warmed up a bit, making it easier.
Cutest Cookies Ever: Even thought I’m allergic to nuts, I can appreciate how darn cute these teddy bear cookies are. There is no tutorial for them, but I bet you’d cut the teddy bear shape with a cookie cutter, place a nut on top, lift up the arms to wrap them around the nut and then use a toothpick to make the holes for the face. Now I’m trying to brainstorm other things that you could have teddy bear cookies holding on to…
Have a great weekend!

The bear cookies could maybe hold Teddy Grahams. It might be cute for a picnic, tea, or baby shower.

Loved your site – so well put together and has so much heart in it! Thank you also sharing your ideas – am definitely going to try the hugging bears! One question: were you able to bake the bears with the nuts as I am worried of them getting over toasted!
